This new release supports Windows, as well as revamping the Plugin API in order to streamline the process for writing custom plugins. Fluentd has quickly become the de facto data collection framework and is used by Atlassian, Microsoft Operations Management Suite, Nintendo and many others. Since its launch, the community has created more than 400 plugins making it easy to collect, process and ship data among a variety of systems and platforms. The new Plugin APIs are designed to accelerate plugin development even more by adding a new class of plugins and streamlining the existing ones.
